Methods Of Fishing For Tuna

After studying tuna behavior, preparing tuna fishing equipment, and your tuna fishing crew you should be ready to go out for that big fish. When fishing for tuna, you should be able to use tuna fishing strategies that would lead you to a successful catch. The two most common methods of fishing for tuna are trolling and chumming. Trolling, also known as angling, is a method where the fishing lines baited with lures are drawn through the water. The boat is moved slowly at speeds of around 7 to 10 mph up to such time that outriggers release when tuna strikes. In chumming, you prepare chums. Your bait is included among the chums. Once the tuna feeds on other chums they would think that your bait is just another piece of chum. Once they fall for your bait, they are yours.
